My name is Mylo; known as Calamity or Solar online!
I am a 22 year old queer, AuDHD (Autistic + ADHD) person from Canada, who has always had a deep love & appreciation for art, music, storytelling, acting, & creating overall.
The Goal.
My main goal as a creator of many forms, is to cultivate a positive, welcoming space in this world.
To encourage connection between others despite our differences. To encourage learning, growth, love, compassion for oneself & others, & healing. To spread positivity & light in the hearts and minds of people and the world; most importantly, inspiring others to rediscover their own light, creativity, strength, and power within them, so that they themselves can connect with and inspire others just the same.
I want to cultivate a place where we as a community can inspire others & help each other, by sharing our creativity as well as our own personal wisdom & lessons that we have learned, that have helped us grow and heal, and may help others grow & heal too.
I truly believe that no matter where you've been in the world & in your life, no matter what your past was or what happened in it, no matter the mistakes you've made, or the trauma you've experienced, you ALWAYS have the ability to grow, heal, and shape your life into something good, meaningful, and positively powerful. You are not your past. You are who you choose to be now, and the choice is yours and yours only. As you grow, learn, & heal, you inspire others around you who are struggling the same, and open the doors to real, positive, & peaceful human connection between others. This creates a ripple effect; one of all of the things mentioned many times already. A ripple effect of healing, true connection, growth, creation, & positivity.
I do not believe we can change the world as individuals. I believe that change happens when we connect and work together as human beings, as people.
When we connect with, grow, & heal ourselves, we then go on to inspire others to do the same, and foster a community built on connection, togetherness, & hope.A community that creates real change with a foundation of hope & positivity, rather than negativity & fear.
My Art & Creativity
Since I was young, I have always been a very creative person; passionate about Character Design & Development, Acting & Voice Acting, & Storytelling.
As young as 4 years old, I would sit at my art desk built by my dad for hours, illustrating entire worlds, characters, and stories, and then writing & illustrating them into picture books.
I would act out my stories and characters alone, being able to imagine it all so clearly. This continued throughout my whole life until now, and the stories & characters I created only became more in depth as I grew older.
To this day, my passion for creating characters & stories, as well as acting, has never left me. It's a part of who I am, and always will be.
I believe that creation is how we express ourselves, how we share with the world the many things we want to share. It is always something I knew I wanted to do in my life, and to continue to grow and evolve as a creator & artist, someday turning it into my full-time career.
Through the past 5 years, I have developed more and more passion & serious career goals for voice acting, storytelling, & character development / design.
I am currently studying in college to learn more on how to better my skills, and I am still continuously working on these goals, building my portfolio, and putting myself and my work out there to seek opportunities to further achieve my goals of a career in this field.
Online Content Creation
Also through the past 5 years, I have developed an interest for online content creation; specifically Twitch Streaming, YouTube, & Video Creation. I spent a lot of time figuring out what I wanted to really do with it, and the type of creator I wanted to be online. When I first began, my confidence was low, and I wasn't sure where I was truly going with it.
Now, I have the knowledge of what brings me joy in online content creation, and it all ties into everything I talked about with my main goals and passions. Creating content to further cultivate that positive space, to talk about life & things that I have learned through it to help others and create conversations between others, to share our creations with the world, and to encourage authenticity, connection, laughter, inspiration, & positivity.
I have been a Twitch Affiliate Streamer for the past 5 years, and I have also started creating videos on my YouTube Channel. I plan to create more videos related to those goals, and my streams will be a place to either come and chat about these same topics, or have fun, be silly, and laugh together. Just as much as I encourage seriousness in self growth & connection, I also encourage laughter, silliness, and fun just as much. That is also just as important for creating a positive community. :)

» TERMS OF SERVICE «
Before commissioning me, you must read my TOS.
By commissioning me, you agree that you have read through my TOS in it's entirety as directed, and understand & agree with all of the terms of service listed below.If an issue arises due to your failure in reviewing these terms of service after it is sent to you, during or after the commission process, you as the client are responsible. If you have any questions or concerns about any of the terms listed here, please contact me to discuss them, as I will happily answer any questions or concerns you may have!
PAYMENT
Base price for all commissions must be paid in FULL upfront. I do not start artwork until full payment has been made.
I only accept PayPal, Ko-Fi, Vgen, & e-transfer for payment at this time. PLEASE NOTE: Vgen is only available for select commission types as I have limited listings, and e-transfer is for residents of Canada only due to restrictions.
Extra charges for more complicated requests will be calculated & quoted to you before the commission is paid for. Please ask me for a quote if you require a more complex commission, added details, character design, etc.
REFUNDS
There are NO REFUNDS for lost or stolen artwork during the shipping process.
You may ONLY request & receive a full refund BEFORE I start the artwork.
Once the artwork has been started, there are NO REFUNDS. Please keep this in mind before commissioning me, as once I begin progress on your commission, you cannot receive any refunding.
RIGHTS & REPOSTING
As the artist I retain the rights and copyright of my artwork. I have the right to post your commission online, use the piece for advertising purposes (commission examples & portfolio, social media, etc.) with the watermark attached. If you wish to not have your commission posted online for personal reasons, or want to stay anonymous, let me know during the commission process!
Do not remove my signature from the artwork unless I have given clear permission otherwise.
YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED to use my art for AI training, NFTs, etc. And are NOT ALLOWED to feed my artwork into any AI bot for any reason.
Art is NOT for commercial use, meaning you cannot use it to make profit. You may only use the commissioned artwork for PERSONAL USE, unless we have discussed otherwise. Currently, I do not offer many commercial use options, but I am willing to discuss this if you are looking for something that will be commercially used. You MUST discuss it with me beforehand, and pay the commercial use fee that is discussed between us.
As the client/commissioner, you reserve the right to claim rights & ownership of your own character drawn, but NOT the artwork itself.
You may share/repost the artwork to social media, as long as there is proper credit to me, the artist.
You may request that the artwork not be displayed on other platforms that I own for advertising & social media purposes due to personal reasons & wanting to stay anonymous, however you MUST request this either BEFORE or WHEN you receive the art for this rule to come into effect.
ART REVISIONS
You may request any changes or revisions during the sketch phase of the artwork. I will send you a WIP (work in progress) update once the sketch is completed, where you can request any changes or revisions, before I move onto linework & colour.
PLEASE NOTE: Any big revisions & changes during the sketch page (pose change, expression change, full outfit change, etc.) will cost you extra payment, due to extra time spent, which you will need to pay upfront. Cost is dependent on the change requested.
FOR TRADITIONAL ART: Once the sketch is approved, NO FURTHER REVISIONS / CHANGES can be made. There is no undo button for traditional work, and once the linework & colour is down, there is no going back!
FOR DIGITAL ART: After the sketch phase, you may request one (1) SMALL revision / change during the linework stage. You cannot request any big revisions at this point. Once linework is done, NO FURTHER REVISIONS CAN BE REQUESTED.
As the client, you must be as clear as possible regarding the details and wants for your commission. After the revision periods, you cannot request any further changes. Please keep this in mind.
COMPLETION TIME & DEADLINES
My current general TAT (Turn-around-time / completion time) for commissions is 3 weeks. This is the time from when your commission has started, until when it is fully completed.
TAT does not include the time a client waits in the queue. Sometimes I have other commissions higher up in queue, which will be done first before moving on to the next client in line. I will contact you once your next and I am starting on your commission.
TAT also does not include the time it takes to ship out any traditional work, or the shipping time it takes to arrive at your location.
Due to many circumstances, delays may happen. In the case of any delays, I will keep you updated about the cause of the delay, and around how much longer the wait time would be.
I DO NOT work with strict personal deadlines at this moment, sorry!
TRADITIONAL ARTWORK SPECIFICS
As mentioned before: If anything about your characters design or features is unclear due to your reference sheets/images, and you did not properly explain what you would like drawn or added, any error with producing an accurate depiction of your character/concept in my art cannot be redone or corrected. Traditional artwork is created completely by hand, using traditional media, and there is no undo button. A redo will cost money.
I cannot make changes to the art at ALL past the sketch stage. Linework and colour cannot be changed in traditional work.
I will always try my best to colour match your characters colours with corresponding alcohol marker colours. However, the colour may not be exact to the colour of your characters digital reference sheet.
Shipped Traditional Artwork is secured as best as possible to protect against any damage, including being put into multiple paper sleeves which are secured shut. However, if you would like lamination, it is an option. Please be aware that while lamination is an option for all traditional work, thermal lamination on full sheets of paper may sometimes "bubble" during the shipping process, due to any excess heat. During the warmer months, it is a risk. I do not recommend lamination over full page traditional pieces due to this risk.
